MoU with U.S. Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency
MAST and the U.S. Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), the U.S. Government agency responsible for locating, recovering, and identifying the remains of unaccounted-for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) personnel from designated past conflicts, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. DPAA's mission involves historical research, archaeology, forensic anthropology, laboratory analyses, and other related activities.
MAST and the DPAA have established a relationship based on cooperation, the exchange of information, and the identification of cooperative activities in historical research and archaeology, to account for missing DoD personnel from designated past military conflicts. We intend to work together where practical for the common promotion of the objectives of the DPAA and MAST and such other activities as both parties consider to be mutually beneficial.
