Investigation into the possible damage and looting of sites in the Goodwin Sands and Poole Bay

Historic England have asked the Maritime Observatory to investigate. Their chief areas of concern is evidence of potential looting and damage to Designated naval wreck sites in the Goodwin Sands and also the WW2 Valentine tanks in Poole which are Scheduled Monuments, under the Ancient Monument and Archaeological Areas Act 1979
